Patricia Blanchet is a brand whose name and roots go way back, a DNA with its own place in the Milky Way of fashion stars. It is the story of a family that is united and motivated by your delight.
The family’s mission is to glorify your feet, to make them the most stylish yet comfortable they can be, and to accompany them on the quest for beauty, dancing on a rainbow of happiness.
This touching and legendary story originates in North Africa. In the late 1940s, Patricia’s father, also known as ‘Rolando di Parigi’, decided to set sail for France and cross the Mediterranean by his own means, during a time when such an undertaking was unheard of. He continued on horseback and then on foot until eventually he reached Paris. Exhausted, yet determined, he quickly set about creating a solid reputation for himself built on serious work backed by ambition. This became a common theme in Patricia’s life, and she was quickly accustomed to high standards from early childhood.
It was in this inspirational and imaginative atmosphere that Patricia grew up, loved and worshipped by her parents, where she was always taught to respect others and life’s values. Drawing on this unique experience, Patricia later decided to bring her husband Lolo a.k.a. ‘Quinquin Blanchet’, into the world of shoe creation. He took pleasure and both with Patricia they developed a real “Eye of The Tiger’ necessary for creation. The pair amused themselves by designing shoes and by devoting themselves to the service of those looking to put shoes on the market but without the necessary skills.
The adventure was enjoyable but this paradise became too artificial for Patricia, who dreamt of being elsewhere, in a place where her love of upcoming trends could fully express itself. With her adored and talented son Renaud, Patricia began to dream of the freedom to create a plethora of possibilities. It wasn’t until 2009 that the Patricia Blanchet brand really began to come to life. It was a dream birth, a caesarean worthy of fairytales.
This Blanchet catapult effect meant that soon, word of this exciting new brand spread, and in April 2013, the first Patricia Blanchet boutique opened near République in Paris, at 20 Rue Beaurepaire, and became an instant icon. This splendid shiny red emporium is the work of the daring mind of the spectacular Colombian French architect Catalina Castro.
The following year, it was time to cast doubt to the wind and launch the online shop. Always on the hunt for perfection, Patricia decided to create for her clients an accessible online version of her vibrant and colourful dreams, all with YOU in mind.
